'Tis the season to be bunny

Our Easter week continues with some super cute bunny cards from our lovely friend - Amira from Handmade in Oz......

Hi everyone,

'Tis the Easter season for bunnies and boy, do I love bunnies! I used to have an adorable black otter mini lop whom I named Oreo. I loved that little fluff ball to bits. She looked like this.

We had her desexed and she used to be both an indoor and outdoor bunny before the kids came along...ahhh- the good ol' days.

Today, I want to show you a few cards I came up with using this adorable mini bunny rabbits die by Impression Obsession.

Card 1: May the Easter Bunny....

Please forgive my sense of humour on this one, but I was crafting late and when I craft late, I do strange things.

So this card reads a little like a story:

Bunny comes along and sees a basket,

Bunny stands up to look at whats in the basket...

Bunny kicks out all the eggs and nestles comfortably in the basket!

And here is the inside of the card:

Card 2: Some Bunny loves you

And this is the inside of the card:

Card 3: hello Easter

I really love the combination of pink /black / silver here. I also love the pierced look of the circle die-cuts. And I thought I would make the bunnies pink. Why not :)

For the sentiment, I stamped "hello" with black Archival Ink then added clear embossing powder and then set it to give it a nice embossed shiny texture. I then shaped it like a banner and inked the edges. The "easter" was made with MFT Upper and Lower case letters.

I loved using the Grand Alder Tree die by Memory Box with the thick silver card stock.

And here is the inside of the card:

Card 4:  Easter- Happy Holidays

I wanted to do a blue card to give a little bit of a boyish touch to the bunnies

I just had to add a Prima flower here. Look how pretty it looks!!!

I die-cut pale blue card stock with my tag die (Tim Holtz) and embossed it with a floral embossing folder and layered it on this beautiful blue flower paper from KaiserCraft's XO collection.

The sentiment is once again stamped with Black Archival Ink, clear embossed and heat set to give it a shine. This sentiment is from Graphic 45's Time to Flourish Stamp Set.

I finished off the tag with a double ribbon- a light blue and a royal blue. I really like the look it brings to the card.

Here is the inside :

And here is a closer look at that adorable little bunny sitting in his basket like a good boy!

So there you have it, one tiny little die of bunnies and so many ways to make cards with them.
I do hope you find inspiration here.

Thank you for stopping by,
xxAmira

A Graphic 45 Easter Challenge

Hi everyone,

If you have been following us on the Aunty Vera and Friends Group, you will know that I challenged myself to create a shutter card using the Sweet Sentiments collection.

Here is the picture that sparked my challenge from the Graphic 45 site:

So to make one of these amazing cards, I used the template provided by G45 below.

I used 12" x 12" kraft-coloured card stock and cut it down to 9"x 9" and then lightly marked the areas that needed scoring & cutting to give you something that looked like this:

I then used my one and only sheet from the Sweet Sentiments Collection (2013). Where the images were too big to fit within a panel, I cut them in half and used them across 2 panels to give this sweet looking card which I am so proud of.

I then brought in a whole arsenal to add a little more embellishment to the piece.

Here is a close-up of each panel:

I adore this one...I used a little bit of glitter and glossy accents to simulate a beautiful pearly shell on the easter egg.

Its hard to see here, but I also added a little bit of glitter to the lace of her dress and along her hat. I also added the bunny and grass (Impression Obsession Die).

Doilies and butterflies are perfect to frame the 2 sentiment panels

More glossy accents and glitter on the egg shell.

And here on the daisies.

Here it is, one more time..

Thank you so much for looking.
Happy crafting and have a blessed day wherever you are.
xx Amira

A Sunny Weekend with Leanne - Time to Flourish Floral Cards

Hi everyone!

Well, it's the end of March, and supposedly Autumn, but here in Sydney, Australia the days are still sunny and warm....very, very warm! But I'm sure that will all change very soon, so I'm enjoying the lovely weather while we still have it.

Our Guest Designer Leanne from Leanne Pickens Specialty Cards has been busy creating beautiful cards that are just perfect for this late summer weather - featuring Graphic 45's gorgeous Time to Flourish collection.

These birthday cards feature the August papers...........

I love the use of the chipboard element in this card.....

And here's a lovely any-occasion card using the cardstock die-cut flowers. Just so pretty!

Such beautiful cards to celebrate any lovely occasion.

A big thank you to Leanne!
Aunty Vera :)
